2011 535xi MHD Stage 2+ timing pulls
Hi guys! First post, long time lurker. Need a little bit of help reading my MHD log. The timing corrections are not looking good at all.
https://datazap.me/u/michael-ward/mh...29-30-31-32-33 My vehicle: MHD stage 2+ 93 octane 2011 535xi 71,000 miles (20,000 by me) Rev9 stepped FMIC VRSF catless DP VRSF chargepipe BMS air intake Dinan coils (less than 500 miles on them) NGK step colder plugs gapped at 0.22 (less than 500 miles in them) I just installed new plugs and coilpacks a week ago and the only thing I can think of is maybe the gap is off or I got a tank of bad gas. Shell 93 is what I’m running. Other than my log, my car has been running great. I did the log just out of curiosity and the timing corrections worry me. |

Im seeing the throttle close up quite a bit and the timing pulling. try flashing just the stage 2 not the stage 2+ and see if that runs better. if the car is happy with that stage 2+ at 91 oct might be better. looking forward to another data log

1- Try re-doing that log and this time keep that accelerator pedal to the floor. Look at "accelerator pedal pos %" and that is your foot on the pedal. PART of what's going on with timing corrections is from coming off throttle (which is normal).
2- on OTS tunes, it's not uncommon to have throttle closure. To get a better idea of what's going on with your log, you need to add the "Boost psi mani" channel. What you're seeing there as "boost psi" is what the TMAP sensor is reading (at the charge pipe). We want to see what is actually getting into the intake manifold (boost psi mani), as that is what the DME is using as reference to modulate the throttle body. What's likely happening is that the DME is seeing that actual boost in the manifold is about to go over boost target (which is like a boost ceiling of sorts), so to keep it from going over it uses the TB to regulate how much air/ pressure gets into the manifold. So seeing this mani channel would confirm proper operation of an OTS tune. Fuel pressure looks good. WGDC is bouncy but expected with the movement of both the accel pedal and TB. IATs are good. MAF is ramping up smoothly. Timing is all over BUT do the above and re-take log for proper assessment :-)

Hi, here is a log of my f11 535i xdrive (2011 pwg) when I was running mhd stage 2+ ots, however I only use 98-100 octane (shell vpower racing ect.).

I see no redflags on this log. One oddity is maybe that you changed the metrics to metric so it went from psi to Bar and F to C, lol. But overall it looks healthy as healthy as an OTS tune gets!
