I wish I could drive forward or reverse a few feet with my drivers door open. I hate big brother putting the car in park. at least it could give a warning sound and let you move a few feet before slamming on the brakes and putting it in park. i know I could have gotten the 360 degree camera option but I chose not to get that option. I prefer to open the door and check how I have parked. same reasom why i didnt get the $500 fold down seats. most cars, cheaper than bmws come standard with fold down seats.

My F10 is really ok.
Only the steering is not so direct as i want but nothing serious.

Just drive your car and feel the pleasure of driving some kind of an ultimate driving machine

Great car, but to me it's Battlestar Galactica on wheels, on the highway it's great but downtown it's way too big and heavy in the curves. I knew that when I bought the thing, but I'm going back to a F30 335i DKG in about a year.

F10 535iA HE: Great engine(power + mpg), great interior and looks though, but to me(even with wife + 2 bigger kids) it's too big and heavy....

Cheers
Robin

Boot (trunk) lid has to be slammed down from the top to shout it. When the car is dirty it's not so appetizing.

My previous E61's rear door could be just lowered for the lock to engage. Had I known this, I would have gone for the wotsit optional extra.

That's it then...move the big screen, beer fridge and couch into the garage and you could live happily ever after

I love my car!

I wish you could lock the car in sports mode. I hate having to push the button all the time after start up.

I prefer the MB settings.
Now I have to manually control the wipers to prevent them disintegrating into the windscreen and leaving awful rubber marks
Interesing, my rain sensor seems to have a good variety of speeds.....

Maybe we have to give the BMW weather/wiper people expenses paid trips to H.K. to get Asian clouds some decent representation

As for the seat heaters, they do seem to get very hot initially but then settle down.

The wipers are too slow, I agree, and the rain sensor is psychotic.

I really dislike having to find my key in order to take off the parking brake and roll the car out of the garage. I don't need to start it, but I need the key to take off the damn electric brake?

I don't have navigation so I can't address that issue. I do prefer to have the screen dark at night, so I can understand that complaint.

I think anyone who hates their car because they can't read their email is missing the point. You should be driving, not texting or emailing or scrolling their song list or surfing...

I say that not as a hater, but as someone who has to share the road, and I'd really prefer that everyone else be paying attention to their driving!

Actually that could be a setting. In my wife's car it stays on - and her wipers get completely damaged after a few times, when she forgets to switch this option off and the temperature gets below freezing. You get into the car, turn on the engine... and your wipers go on ice and snow.

This really really annoys me sometimes. On the tight roads in the UK I like to see how close I am to the curb to get as close as possible without touching the alloys so I open the door to look, the car slams itself in park even if I'm moving Such a stupid design decision.

Not an issue on xdrive cars.
Mine is xdrive and it has proper hydraulic steering. It was one of the major deciding factors.

Sometimes less driver bombardment with information is better. Would be nice to turn off the screen 99.9% of time and just enjoy the view and the tach as it redlines. My stealers suggestion was put up a piece of cardboard! Really. Cardboard in a $80k car? WTF.

I know what you mean.
IAS makes the car feel smaller and more nimble though, that's why I think it is a must have option.

So dealer is stumped on the Blackberry 9780 not syncing correctly for emails. My phone synced immediately with identical 535ix M sport model and same week build currently sitting on lot with the exception it had nav screen and I don't. As a result dealer is gonna reboot the car software next week. I hope I get to to drive the tester with nav to enjoy what I have been missing

Not that i hate the car because of this - The fact that everytime I start the car the fan/blower always comes on. Eventhough I totally turned it off before shutting down the car. Have not found a way to make it NOT come on when I start the car.

Anyone know if this can be changed?

I've had my F10 for just a few days. I really love it! Coming from a 3-series, the gain in refinement is dramatic! Maybe I could nitpick and say I would prefer the car to be lighter and the steering more communicative, but the things you listed as annoyances are of no significance for me.
