Anyone have a 2014 M Sport with the 704 Suspension yet?
If any of you in any country have taken delivery of a 2014 5 Series with the M Sport suspension I'd like to see a side view picture, and if possible wheel gap or ride height measurements.
Thanks. |

Here's a couple of pictures of car that a Swedish guy just took delivery of in the UK. It's an F11 lci 550i M Sport.

You may be right. The car probably has the adaptive drive package with variable dampers.

Just picked up mine. Will make pictures tonight or tomorrow.
It is a 535d m-Sport package (with M suspension), no adaptive drive; only IAS.

That's what I'm curious about. From the measurements I've seen, my 2014 standard passive suspension sits about 3/4" higher than the 2013 M Sport suspension. If the 2014 M Sport suspension still lowers by 3/8" then the M Sports are going to sit higher than last year which I hope is not the case.

Taking delivery of my 528i M-Sport in the following week (with the 704 Suspension - according to the datacard). Had a chance to visit it before delivery at where it's currently being held awaiting registration...
Bear in mind that vehicle is sitting on the factory 18's... And before anyone starts, the "///M" designation come from factory (and, "Yes", they are also on the door sills.) Hope these pics help (and one of the sport seats... just for good measure Last edited by CyberJudas; 09-28-2013 at 01:40 AM.. |

Thanks! The different options and features offered in each country are interesting. The M Sport suspension isn't offered on the 528 in the U.S. and to my knowledge the ///M designation on the side is not applied.

Believe it or not, it's just the standard Cinnamon (LCEZ)... Probably just the lighting and camera (iPhone) I used to take the pics.
Here's a more 'normal' Cimmamon shot (the bottom one you can make out the "///M" Sills - and one with the 6WB - Check Engine Light on because engine wasn't started. Last edited by CyberJudas; 09-28-2013 at 01:58 AM.. |

All of the 2014 535i M Sports built before September 1, 2013 do not have the M sport suspension.

I know, I have July build. That's why I'm asking to see a 704 LCI. It was actually 8/19/2013 when they added the 704.

I have a 2014 LCI Msport that was built in Sept. I compared the ride height when mine came in at the dealership. It's a tad more than 1/2" lower on the sept build Msports than the pre sept build LCI's

How is the ride? We know the 2014 standard suspension was stiffened and is now close to the pre LCI M Sport, but I'm wondering what changes they made to the LCI M Sport suspension. |

Sonic the LCI 704 suspension is soft, very compliant. I chose not to get 20's because I was afraid of the rough ride, now I wish I had gotten the 20's. In the corners the suspension really tightens up. It's tighter than the non 704 LCI with the DDC activated IMO.

The 704 suspension is what should come standard on these cars. It is so much better than my 2011 550i with DDC even lowered. The car sits low enough to not need lowering springs and handles superbly on the 20s I got for it. Not rough at all and tight in corners with just enough feedback. I don't have the ARS either and I'm great without it. Here's mine.
