When to fit winter tyres?

Hi All,

First time BMW owner and wondering when would be a good time to mount my winter tires?

I have a set of 17's in the garden with pirelli sottozero's from last year mounted on them

any tips?

Mine is an auto although only a 520d - in heavy rain last weekend i noticed it slipping a little bit when accelerating hard in Sport mode - summer tires are goodyear excellence's

thanks

When the temp in the morning start cruising around the 7c or less.
this year we having a mild start with mild temp, so likely I do my one around end of Nov.

With temperatures as they are at the moment you'd have experienced less grip on winter tyres, change when temperatures are consistent below 7° as Martin said. I didn't fit my winter tyres last year because it wasn't consistently cold enough, so the wheels / tyres had a winter holiday in the shed lol

Yes, it needs to be consistently below 7c. I put one on at the end of December last year and they actually got some snow action.
