Hey guys i actually purchased a 2016 550i myself and was hesitant on getting the jb4 only bcuz i was hearing i might need to upgrade sparkplugs or i might expierence misfires. Is this true or should i jus go ahead with the purchase of the jb4?

With more air and fuel packed into the cylinder with increased boost, the mixture gets harder to ignite. There's always a chance your spark plugs could be on their way out and running the JB4 will show you that. Many of us ran the JB4 for a long time without replacing anything.

Just have a code reader ready so if you do start experiencing misfires you can tell what cylinders they occur on and then start diagnoses (usually the coil goes first).

Then sould i just go ahead and purchase these performance coil set along with the jb4 or just wait and see if the misfires take place?

ARC550, are you guys for real? Running 3+ o'clock setting without downpipes? Sorry, do not take me the wrong way, but that is almost 4.5-5 additional PSI. What elevation and which gas u r using? How long have u been running on that high of a setting?
I am at 800 ft elevation and 93 octane and was concerned running anything above 1 o'clock.

The TU engines have fail safe built into Ecu. If it is not safe to go past certain psi it will Not. Your fine. I ran it for 30k miles no issues and I drive it like a stole it everyday.
Must make sure always 93 octane. Hell you can squeeze some E85 in and feel the difference! 30-35% ideally.

+1

Good quality 93 such as Shell, 76/Phillips66, Valero, Costco, BP or CITGO (TopTierGas.com rated)
Adding 3-5 gallons of E85 to your 3/4 tank will give you more performance and keep your IAT temps cooler with the more aggressive psi + (perfect for drag runs)
