I answered my own question...

They are one and the same

You can fit any 6wb cluster into any fxx chassis

You can fit LHD into rhd and vice versa

You can fit kmh into a mph car and vice versa

So just to clarify before I spend a fortune, if I buy a 6WB from an F15/F16 it will work perfectly in my F10. Just want to be sure

F15 has different HUD than F010.

Ah ok, would that mean that the unit isn’t compatible even after flashing? Not that it really matters as I’ve just picked up a 6WB for F10 on a second chance ebay offer. I would be interested to know purely for knowledge purposes.

Thank you

I had checked the ETK a few times and saw they were different part numbers. I was hoping initially that flashing would make them compatible. Alls good either way as my 6WB arrived today. Used but never been opened. Looking forward to seeing how that retrofit goes

Hello reviving this old thread, I bought a 6WB off a 2014 740i and was wondering if that would work for 2015 X5 F15 with HUD.

ETK links are dead since ETK is a goner.

I know part numbers are different but was wondering if it would still work.

The F01 and F15 use different systems for HUD. For the F15 its inbuilt in the cluster and for F01 its a separate module
