Angry RANT: kid on bike crashes into my bumper!

So I just got home from the gym and my neighbors tell me this kid Maybe 10 years old is riding his bike around the neighborhood and crashes into my front bumper. My neighbors says "Hey! I'm going to let him know u crashed your bike into his car!" The kid disrespectfully says to him "Go Fu** yourself!" My neighbor says "Okay you'll see!" So He knows where the kid lives. I looked at my front bumper but because it's dark it hard to see especially my car being jet black. I haven't gone to the kids house but before I do I wanted to hear your guys' reaction and what you would do? Would u talk to the parents and tell them what happened? Would d u make them pay for the damages? Contact the insurance company? Or suck it up because it's just a kid and it was an accident? Please please chime in as I'm ready to go CRAZY or take the high road!?

Oh...before u say Let's see some pictures it's dark outside!

Are you a fan of the new season of True Detective?

First you need to know how bad the damage is and the talk with the kids parents.

Well, if it were my kid, I would want to know he was running his mouth like that! Beyond that, I agree, assess the damage first. And I guess since you didn't hear the comment first hand, maybe let that slide if there's no damage to the car.

I would be furious at his dirty mouth more than anything... Chances are if a 10 yr old is like that, you might be in for a challenge with the parents. The apples don't fall far from the tree. Good luck. Hope there is no issue.

Check the damage but most importantly don't let his words slide…

Check for damage in the daylight today, and if it's significant enough that it warrants a discussion with this wayward youth's parents, then make the visit. Remember, you typically receive back what you project forward. If you go in guns a blazin', expect that in return. A light touch will likely yield more favorable results.

Good luck...

I think you need to do something, what that something is depends on the damage and how civilize the parents are. Kids today just have no respect for other people's property.

So I looked at the car today and I don't see any kind of damages or scratches of any type. I did talk to the Mom. Funny part is she said He came in last night crying about how He had crashed into the neighbors car LOL! Caught me off guard cause of what He said to my neighbor. Anyhow I didn't bring up what He said but I did ask her if He could be more careful with his bike and if possible He shouldn't be riding his bike around cars cause who knows what the next person might say?

+1 on the True Detective method... Beat the crap out of his father to teach him to never come near you baby again...

That being said I'm not a breeder and generally hate all children so I might not have the best advice...

In all seriousness if there was damage to my car after something like this I would call the police and file a report. This will have the police mediate and get his parents to pay for the damage if it needs to go that far...

In the least the police will scare the crap out of most 10 yr olds.

That sounds like an incredibly manipulative kid or a lying mom.

since the kid was disrespectful you ought to teach him a life long lesson.

you owe it to your NBR bro... chase him down regardless of damage....
