Picked up my 520d F11 msport yesterday

Photos as promised...car is great. No pulling,grinding,hesitation...as a BMW should be. After 3 years driving an Audi A6 it feels great to be back in a BMW!

Will post more thoughts etc later...to busy trying to read the manual at the mo!

Looks great! It's interesting with all the extras and M Sport I'm sure it cost more than my poverty spec 530d SE but I just love the extra power. I do miss Xenons, DAB etc though

Nice!!!! Looks great you can beat that new car feeling though I am glad my new car paranoia has faded....just remember first few days driving around people aren't driving closer to you than normal in an effort to hit your car. It just feels like it

Gotta get to the dealer though and order the rubber boot mat/liner otherwise that lovely boot carpet gonna change colour very quickly. I lasted about 2 weeks before I gave in. Babies push chair wheels were making it all muddy

Thanks Richard.....I was sorely tempted with 530d se basic spec as my old car was Audi A6 3.0 tdiQ. I Had 530d for a extended test drive (2 days) and had one specced etc ready to order. However I looked at the basic cost of the 520d and it is very good value I think compared to 530d.....dealer gave me one for a weekend and although it is certainly no racer i was surprised by the performance and I could spec msport and a few gadgets for sim price to 530d se basic spec.

So far I think I have made the right choice and hopefully (40 plus MPG) will confirm this as diesel prices keep soaring!

The ProNav/DAB/sports auto/xenons etc really make the car and I would not of been able to afford these on a 530d....(although it does sound like a tractor!!!)

Thanks Northern....yes any excuse to drive it at the moment!!!.....I have kept the boot liner from my A6.....and although not a perfect fit it will do when I have to transport dogs/kids etc .....but I try to always use my wife's X3 for most family duties!!!!

Congratulations Jon, looks lovely. You beat me to it with the pics too. I had no time due to work yesterday and then it was dark! Have posted s few interior pics today and will take some exterior ones later on when I take it somewhere more interesting for photos...

Very nice, congratulations. Thank you for posting close ups of the aluminum hexagon trim, I have it on mine and have ordered it based on good input from friends and pictures, those pictures confirm my choice!

Nice car, nice pics and great choice of extras - enjoy. I went the same way with lots of toys on a 520d instead of an basic 530d-535i and not regretting it one bit.
