Offset Assistance

So I am running Front 20x9 245/35 ET 35
Rear 20x10 285/35 ET 40

I'm aiming for a ET 25 for the front and
35 Rear.

Is this still conservative?
This is a ballpark, is it true that 10MM spacers won't work with the hub length saw this on turnermotorsports if anyone could give me any input that would be great!

With 245 in the front, you could do 12mm spacers. And why 35 profile in the rear?
