2011 550ix 1/4 mile time

Let me recap the night for you guys.

For those worried about excess weight, I weigh about 160lbs and including the miscellaneous things in my car (All weather floor mats, various detail spray, 3 small water bottles and a bag with 1 qt of oil and a portable air compressor, manuals etc) it most likely adds up to about 250-300 extra lbs. For a car that weighs a nearly 5k lbs I don't think that makes a substantial difference. Oh, and I ran with a little over 1/4 tank of gas.

Track conditions were as follows, I looked up weather data and found at the time of my runs it was nearly 95% humidity. It rained not even a half hour after I left island.

There was a STOCK x6 5.0 running similar times according to my friends, in the range of 13.5-6 they couldn't provide me with trap speed though. I personally don't think there is anything wrong with my car. Sure if I had the stock squared setup it would benefit my time.

So I'm going to ask you all this, is there anything I can do from the drivers seat to improve? Obviously auto shifting is one problem, but can anyone with experience tell me where to shift? Maybe mess with tire pressures?

I'm obviously not trying for a record here, I was curious to see what my car could do. At least I have knowledge my tune wasn't installed and now I have a baseline and can see what kind of improvement DINAN software provides.

The only hard thing in our cars is the 60 foot which you get better at from many runs everything else car will do on it's own.

I ran 12.6 at 108 at island with a burger stage 1 everything else was bone stock. Reaction time is irrelevant. Your not brake boosting the car hard enough. Hold brake pedal to the floor and floor it, then release brake. You should be in sport plus and let it shift for you. I ran multiple 12.6 runs with 60ft at 1.7-1.8. Good luck

what he said, everything else car will do on it's own, only to set records i had to manually shift but that takes lots of runs to perfect.

Do you still remember? What rpm do you shift early ? Into 4th or 5th ?
You lower your tire psi, how much front and rear to?

ATCO on the 14th? I would like to get some times on my BMS stage 2 (BETA) and Bad Black air filters, Dinan exhaust, intercoolers and intake. Curious to see the speeds and would like to meet up with everyone.

Running the new BMS BETA with Blue tooth. But dont have race fuel wires connected yet.

What do we need to know for the track this Friday? I have a fire proof jacket, Helmet and fire extinguisher. Any other mandatory things for the track? Do we need to pre Register?

Recommended tire pressure (AWD on mine)? Fuel tank level for best times? Best fuel additive? I have not had time to add the race fuel wires to JB4 this week with work being so busy, so will be running Map 2 on BMS tune.

My first time to ATCO, so I figured I would ask the ignorant questions for anyone else having a first time.

Looking forward to meeting you all!
