I know your mind is probably set now on not importing the 550i but - another thing to consider is this:

A left hand drive 550i will be worth next to nothing come resale time in Ireland - unless you were to export it to europe!

As someone else said 99% of F10's are 520d's due to high road tax and fuel costs in IRL.

Due to recession, very few thirsty cars are finding homes.

Good luck with the move - and dont forget your raincoat

I wonder why americans can enjoy high engine capacity cars while other parts of the world have to bear with bare specs cars. Any ideas why are cars in USA is so cheap? In Malaysia, the highest range is 535i besides the full fledge M5. Anyone can give an idea of how good is 535d compared to 528i?

A 535d would wipe the floor with the 528i.

Seriously, the 535d is an extremely quick car on the road. All the grunt is low down in the rev range and the performance is so easy to access.

The petrol equivalent of the 535d is really the 550i.

You smoked it because you pressed down your accelerator harder than he did, not much to write about?
