JB4 on 535i, whats your ride been like

So many tunes, don't know what to do... $2K DINANTRONICS vs a half cost option.

Those with a JB4, whats your reliability been like? How long have you had it on?

jb4 is the most used because cheaper, easy, and reliable. But flash tune is the best.

Flash tunes are the best but not when you add Dinan into the mix. I would think the jb4 gives the same numbers as Dinan would at fraction of the price. If your looking for flash tune MissionPerformance is the way to go.

For a very slight bump in power at the lowest cost it's the jb4. Keep in mind the jb4 is a huge bump in power on the same engine in a 2, 3 or 435. The ecu and turbo is different on the 535, so gains are harder to achieve on same n55. BMW gave no love to the n55 setup on our 535

There is way around that however and it's with a complete reflashing of the ecu. Even with my tune maxed out on my stock turbo were only able to squeeze 345 Whp out of it. You have to upgrade your turbo to get 400whp. It's my next step

I think im going to try the JB4 stage 2, see how i like it and go from there

You can prolly find a couple for sale on here. Just find out which harness type you need first
