Address Book Company/Organisation Field

Dear all,

I've been driving a 2013 530GT for the past year or so, and am still enjoying it a lot.

I just have one minor software niggle, and was wondering if it's a known problem, and perhaps whether it's been fixed in later releases. I'm not sure whether it's a telephone, media or navigation issue, so my software versions are as follows:

Telephone TN-001.023.015
Media MN-001.023.007
Navigation NBT EUROPE Next 2015-1

Anyway, the issue is that all my contacts are sync'ed with my Android phone over bluetooth. This works fine, except that the "Company/Organisation" field seems to be missing, or doesn't exist on the car side.

This is a problem, because many of my contacts don't have "First/Last Name" fields. These are typically hotels, restaurants, that kind of thing. So trying to find these entries in the list is nigh on impossible.

Anyone noticed something similar? Is it a BMW issue, or an Android issue?

I have the same issue so, if I don't have a name, I insert the company name into the surname field

I queried it with BMW, and they claim it's peculiar to some Android phones (HTC One M7, in my case) but not others (HTC M8 or M9). Only way to know for sure, is from personal experience.
