Standard vs Sports seats

I have so far only driven F10's with the sports seats. I really like the way they feel and IMHO they are more comfortable than my E60 sports seats.

But, the sports seats in my E60 tend to feel a bit hard, especially on long drives. I'm planning to buy an F10 and am not sure if I should go for the sports seats or the standard seats?

How does the standard seats compare with the sports seats in the F10?

If you have standard seats I honestly think it's going to be hard to get rid of the car on the second hand market in Norway if you plan on doing so the next two/three years. Everybody expects it to have at least one seat upgrade. If your new F10 is that bare bone, I would rather buy a slightly used one from the dealer with some options.

Personally I would never buy a BMW without the sport seats mostly because of the fact that I am tall and the thigh extension on the sport seat makes a world of difference on long drives. I also have the active and ventilated and seats on my car and am spoiled forever.

Thanks for the replies. I really want the sports seats, but the sports seats in my E60 are quite hard on longer drives. That's why I'm not quite sure if I should go sports or standard...

I'm also quite tall (185cm - 6ft 2") so I guess sports seats is probably better suited to me.

Comfort seats not an option for you? I optioned them without trying them out and am now totally sold for life! All your concerns for "hardness" will disappear.

It is an option, but expensive here.
