Nice! I'm keen to see how the eyelids shape up once installed given that they are in body colour. That's going look like an extension line of the bonnet, inn't it?

That's going to look sweet with the Akrym lip. I'm excited to see the final look with those eyelids.

I'm a big fan of those frosted oem eye lids.

Your concerns were mine as well. While I never minded the frosted 'lids, I just felt they really stuck out on the front end of a dark car, especially with black grills. We'll see how it looks with the body matching. I think it'll look awesome, if not I'll just have to go back to the drawing board. I just didn't want to have to cut the headlights open, and felt this was the least invasive route. I even ordered a set of the faux carbon fiber covers and those were terrible. I planned on paint matching those as well but they didn't even line up right, lol.

No it will look awesome! You're completely right on darker cars.

It didn't stand out as much with my Alpine White but now it being wrapped in red vinyl it really is noticeable.

You're right, if mine was AW I wouldn't have messed with them.
That red wrap is amazing. Now that you notice the frosted 'lids, you thinking about doing something with them? I always liked what member L7AS did with his, http://imageshack.us/a/img27/582/93t0.jpg
I think his were cut open though..

Looks mean

I did the same thing with the eyelids too, however mine were wrapped. I think it makes the car look much more aggressive and is an alternative to painting the housing of the lights itself, which looks great too. I never liked the white eyelids on the new Bimmers, esp the F10/07s.

Lip looks very nice as well

Agree. I think the paint actually emphasizes that you have 4 surfaces painted in close proximity to each other (bumper, hood, fender and now headlamp).

Yes, just the top is painted. The lip is a Rep so my idea all along was to paint it. However, the quality of the carbon fiber was actually decent, considering, so I thought it would look cool to leave some carbon exposed in the front. Sort of a pinstripe along the bottom. Very subtle and hardly noticeable with the dark paint.
The fitment was also surprisingly very good on the lip. However, the same could not be said about the diffuser. It's a rep from a vendor here on the forum. So despite some favorable reviews, not only was the fitment difficult to correct, the carbon fiber was also less than stellar. Of course, as you guys know, these are the issues you run into with reps.

Thank you guys. It did take me a while to decide, and I'm glad I chose this lip. I actually haven't even seen the car in person yet. The headlights, I think, look good now considering the low res photos and the harsh glare of the shop lights. I'm thinking that in natural light and with the halos on they will look awesome. I knew the headlights would be a source of contention, so to speak, but I really think when it's all finished up they will look great. They do have a photographer at the shop and once I get the wheels back on we plan on doing a shoot. Keep a lookout!

Wicked!

Loving those frosted eyelids, BMW should have done that in the first place. In fact, I wouldn't mind if the housing came in black or dark grey straight from the factory, maybe as an option

Love that Vorsteiner diffuser and the Hamann lip, very aggressive.

P.S. What happen to the wheels in your profile pic? I'm guessing you're on stocks for winter.

Here's a pic of my halos on after I got my eyelids wrapped. Hope it helps give you an idea of what it looks like.

I had the car in the shop for a couple weeks. Mainly for the front and rear bumper resprays. I didn't want the wheels just sitting around. So I sent them to a wheel guy in town, who's amazing, to have them touched up and rebalanced for the cold weather. Here's a link to a thread with the wheels. http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthre...ght=cor+cipher . And it's actually an Arkym Rep lip.
While so many colors look awesome on this car, I'd have to say that DGM is def my favorite. Thank you guys.

Sorry pics were in the shade. Had picked her up yesterday just before dark. The paint matching is flawless on all pieces (both bumpers, headlights, and lip). Photo shoot once wheels are back on and spacers for front wheels come in. Still trying to decide on a spoiler.. Don't think I had mentioned calipers being painted as well. And F10 emblem as stolen from tony.m6.Thanks for bearing through all these iPhone pics.

Came out perfect! Only thing I woulda changed is I wouldn't have left a spot for the side light on the headlight. Mine was coded off anyway so there would be no need. Looks amazing tho!

Love it!! What a difference wheels make on our cars. Can't wait to get new wheels on my ride. Congrats on a sick and very well modded ride.
