2011 528i engine running hot?

Hey guys, take a look at the images and let me know if you think its normal? I noticed the last few days my engine has been running at 250 in the city. sometimes in traffic it goes a little bit past the 250 too. No warning lights, AC still runs. I live in South Florida so outside temp is around 95 during the day.

Is this normal or should I pay a visit to the dealer?

Thanks

Im not sure, my oil changes are done at the dealer, so whatever they're using now.

Fairly normal. Mine doesn't get to 250, but is pretty close in the summer.
This is a good reason that synthetic oils should be used in our cars. With conventional oils, at these temps the oil starts breaking down.

Yeah that's what I thought too but until the other day the needle creeped up past the 250 line when I was driving around in city. It did that a few times after. Didn't reach the 1/4 mark, still no warnings, but passing the 250 line concerned me.

Just as an update, I went to the local BMW dealer today, they checked for leaks and the water pump, everything is fine. He said for a 2011 it's normal for the gauge to fluctuate a little past the 250 mark, it's normal. So nothing to loose sleep over. Thanks for the comments guys.
