Instead of a lighter, you just get a small black plastic cylinder in the shape of a lighter, in order to "plug" the place where the lighter would be. It is as simple as that. The ash tray is still in place.

Instead of the ashtray insert, you can also get a regular tray that comes without the little cigarette holder and ledge for putting it out. I just bought one for my car. The only downside to the replacement tray is that if does not have an opening for the light that shines inside at night on the cigarette tray. I fixed that by drilling a 1/4" hole in the side of the replacement tray, located at the same position as the "light Window" on the Cigarette tray. Works great.

I have the smokers package option and there are ash trays in the rear door pockets as well. My question; there is no lighter in the backseat power outlet, just that plastic plug; should there be one there too?
