difference between sport and sport+?

Is it the same except for Dynamic traction control?

Garage List
my '14 550ix with dhp tightens the steering by a good 45% when going from sport to sport+. at least it feels that way...the suspension firms up a lot more also. this is more noticeable on turns though...

The difference depends on what you have configured for sport.
If you have selected both "Engine & Drive train" and "Chassis" in Sport the only difference to Sport+ will be the reduced interference from the DTC.

the +/- paddles can be used at any mode by moving the gear selector to the left which is manual mode.

In sport+ and in manual shifter mode, the car won't change up even if you hit the rev limiter.

Yeah as of right now I configured sport mode to just change the chassis settings, so I can have that tight driving mode without unnecessary high RPMs for daily driving. Sport+ is for going all out.

Ok one more question: when you press the DTC button it turns if "off" or whatever. But if you hold the button down for a few seconds it really turns it off.
What's the difference there?

I have everything on, but I hate the Sports auto setting as the RPM's are silly high, why would I want to drive a diesel around at 2500rpm at 50mph......
However the throttle in sport is really good, so I just end up using sport and select manual to get decent engine rpms. though I find my self in comfort and automatic 80% of the time.
Strange as I came from an e46 M3 with SMG and always used to shift manually. might be the diesel and limited rpm range that throws me off, and the fact that I now have all that low end torque, where as with the M3 I needed to flick it down 2-3 gears down to get the revs up for it to really move.

When selecting DTC once you get the same as in sport+, just increases the limits and lets you play a little.
When you hold it in it fully disables and you have no electronic driving aids, no traction control, no stability control, and if you have EDC your dampers and driving mode go to "comfort".
