G30 launch invite

...tried this on the main forum here but didn't get much traction...got an invite from BMW Ireland to attend the very special introduction of the latest sporty business class car at the end of October....Can only be the new 5 series. Anyone in the UK had anything similar? I assume it'll be a static display - I've no test drive , apparently they did something similar with the new 7. Question is if it's worth attending one of these events?

No dealers in the UK should have the new 5 series till after the Paris show at the earliest.

Off to the show in a couple of weeks, so will have a look to see if it is there.

My guess is that one of the first to have one will be BMW UK on Park Lane.
they always seem to have better specced up cars in there as well. Walked past today and they have rather nice red M5 in there along with two 7 series.

Couple of us in Ireland got the invite, they did the same when the 7 series was near release, car was shown to regular 7 series buyers, I had few 5 I guess why got the invite to this new way of keeping customers, my wife in X cars was not invited, but I get to take a some one with me any way.
