#1 => PM Sent. I can not post ISTA's pictures here.
Basically you need pry tools push exactly 2x metal tab from the front edge.
Working with feeling once your feel a metal tabs, then push.
Pry tools with the width of ~1cm tip will be fine.
Need to push exactly the metal tab in the picture which I circled in red.
#2 OSRAM only works perfectly with dome. I put total of 6 OSRAM in the dome.
Its light pattern does not fit the rest of retrofit. It is like projector lamp.
Get the one with frosty dome.
Thank you. Today my tools came in and STILL STUDGGLING!

In this video there is a clear picture of the spring tab holding the dome in place..
How they remove is not according to BMW instruction, and I think there is a risk of breaking plastic tab on the back side.

Sorry to hear that. At least you know now how spring tab looks like, it will take one minute next time :-)

www.fcpeuro.com

Around $74 each.

Many times, I got it directly from BMW dealer. Cheaper than online.
Need to call them and tell them the part #

So I installed bulbs that I ordered from Amazon, but the rear dome isn't 100% flushed, it's hanging slightly out. Any solutions? PLEASEEEEEEE.

It looks like the springs are not bent back correctly - perhaps remove it and reform the spring clips. I had to do that on mine.

Find the part number at the back of the broken dome.
If you order exactly the same part number, everything will be the same.

Please take a picture of the dome before you put it in.
The plastic tabs are all ok ?
The spring tabs are all ok ? not bend ?

You mentioned that you have broken the dome, where is the damage ?

Please be careful, the headliner is pretty difficult to replace.

I tried googling the part number before I put it back in and couldn't find anything.

I tried to remove it again and I'm now afraid to. It's hanging out and it's seriously
annoying because I want to do things to the car but I feel like I'm incapable of such things.

Practice makes perfect! But eventually it comes to a point where it's probably best to have things done the right way the first time around

Tell me about it.
It will be difficult to search for specific BMW part from google. Need to do it with special online store I mentioned earlier (e.g. fcp ).

To rectify the troubles, I would suggest that you take it to BMW dealer for;
- Replacement of the broken dome.
- LED kit from BMW + services installing the 10 LED from the kit.

If they are not aware about the LED kit, you can show them following (set of 10 => 6 for front and rear dome, and 4 for door;
I am not sure about the part # of the dome, this needs double check.

I used the ECS Tuning F10 LED kit on my 2016 BMW 550ix last weekend. I ordered the trim removal kit with it as well.

https://www.ecstuning.com/News/BMW_F...013/ES2576040/

The kit has a very detailed installation document with it:
http://bd8ba3c866c8cbc330ab-7b26c6f3..._LED_Light.pdf

The only issue I ran into was on the 2016 F10 the foot well lights are already LED but they are a yellowish LED. There isn't any bulb to replace so I need to do some research and find something to replace the entire part with so I can put a bright white LED bulb in the foot wells.

I also installed 2 pair of the //M projector LEDs into the doors. I purchased them off of Amazon from a company called LUMAND. They were plug and play and add a pretty nice effect at night. http://www.amazon.com/LUMAND%C2%AE-C...tor+door+light

Image of the post install look can be seen here: http://1drv.ms/1OMAHgV

Hope this helps.

Bumping this thread.

Has anyone installed the OEM 10 bulb LED replacement kit directly from BMW mentioned above?

I think I am going to pull the trigger and order this as it is OEM and I know that all the lights will perfectly match. Also I would rather stick with OEM for the price that ECS is asking for aftermarket.

Any feedback would highly be appreciated.

Since this post is back I have a random question.

Anyone know if the LCI F10's have halogen lightbulbs in the puddle lights? Or are they yellow "strips?" I want to replace mine with some LED bulbs but I don't know if there are even bulbs to be replaced.

The easy solution would be to look at my car, but I'm out of town for 10 days so wanted to order it for when I get back.

They are regular halogen bulbs.

Halogen?

I haven't updated the lights in my 5 yet. I did change the lights in my Land Rover. However, I chose to leave the map lights and footwell lights as is...for better night vision. I changed the front, middle and cargo dome lights as well as the puddle lights, to LED. The set up works pretty well and I am not blinded when driving at night and my wife uses the map light.

I'll definitely go ahead and swap out the puddle lights on my 5 to LED.

I replaced both my puddle lights and most importantly the interior trunk lights with LEDs. The standard interior trunk lights were a complete joke, a candle would have been more appropriate. The LED's do a great job of lighting up the interior of the trunk. I left the dome lights and map lights standard since I don't like the stark, cold light that LEDs give off in the interior of the car.

Did the full kit, $25 on eBay. Very happy with the results. Be careful with map lights as they can bend the metal housing with the LED boards.
