Are you getting the tyre from them as well?

Let us know if the delivery is up to scratch...
I need to 1st test a brand new Jack Kit I have in my garage from my wife ex 2010 E90 3 series, the dealer told me the Jack should be the same, if good I will order the spare tyre only at £200, if not I go for the full kit at £300! So likely to put an order after the wkend!

I ordered a used set from felgenbarth.de (in Germany but ship to the UK) on recommendation from a friend in Germany - a fraction of the price of anything I could find here, all have decent tread on them and the TPMS sensors the new F11 LCI needs, but I got the last set from stock with the TPMS I believe.

Started off with my 'pidgin German' but Markus' English is pretty much perfect, so we reverted to that (of course the invoice and things are in German only)

Very impressed, arrived a few days later by DPD exceptionally well packaged to protect the wheels.

I've also ended up using a German company (TyreLeader) and had tyres and alloys shipped to the UK.

I'll admit I was a bit nervous about buying online from outside the UK, but the prices were far and away the best I'd found. For what I wanted I was looking at saving over £200 compared to the cheapest online option in the UK, even with shipping!

Fortunately they delivered exactly what I ordered within a week and I've now got Borbet XR 17 inch alloys and Dunlop SP Winter Sport SP Run Flats on my 520D....

Hi Guys

I was looking at getting a set of these 17" wheels with Dunlop Winter Sports...

http://www.mrwinterwheels.co.uk/17-b...els-tyres.html

Has any one used this site or have these? works out at just over £890 for the set.

Let me know what you think

Just checked on Camskill, the tyres they quote (Dunlop Sport 3D) are £130 a corner, so £520 all in, so you're paying another £80 per alloy, which probably isn't too bad.

Not used the company so can't comment on that side, but all in all, it looks an OK deal

Dunlop Sport 3D is what I got too. Also I notice the alloys you are looking at are Borbet, which is what I got.

In the end I didnt bother with winter wheels. Its glorious sunshine outside right now so this far the gamble is paying off! I don't need a car and do very little mileage, so if the snow and ice comes I can just leave the car at home and spend the money I saved on taxis :-)

I really wish there was an xdrive version of the 5-series (in RHD) but if the winter is really bad I might treat myself to a 4-series gran coupe with x-drive next year. I just cant bring myself to buy an audi...

I've just fitted a set to my 335i complete with a set of Goodyear Runflat Winters. They arrived when they said they would and now fitted look the part. Bought from mrwinterwheels (good to deal with).

I finally made the jump and bought the set of Borbet's with the Dunlop tyres from mrwinterwheels.

Will take some getting used to the look at these big sidewalls compared the the 19" ones .

All round happy with them. Good fast service from mrwinterwheels. The £50 fuel voucher offer was a nice plus point.
