Help with window tinting
I’ m thinking of getting the windows on my Touring tinted.
I will only be getting the windows from the B pillar back tinted and don’t want the Limo look. Currently thinking about getting 30% on the sides and 20% on the tailgate. I live in the UK so we don’t have crazy bright days that often but we do have dull days often.... Is it OK to see thru 20% at night on the back to spot cop cars? Any views most welcome (including photos) Last edited by A900ss; 08-22-2012 at 01:48 PM.. |

If anyone has had their car tinted, can you please post photos and what % you went for?
Thanks. PS - Car is booked in for Friday but I still need to confirm what level of tint I want. |

i wish i had 20%. i currently have 35%. i like it but on a sunny day you can still seen in quite well.
probably not the best picture for you to compare since it looks darker in the rain but excuse to post a pic so what the hell. also changed the grilles since then.

35% all around.
Sometimes it looks very dark and other times it doesn't. I like it from inside because its easy to see out and I know other drivers and pedestrians can see my hand gestures when needed; like thanks very much for cutting me off. Also legal here.

On my e90 I've got OEM dark glass and 38% tint on the front doors. But on the rear I've got OEM tint + OEM sun blinds, and I assume that's at least as dark as 20%, but not a problem.

Well I'm at the tint shop now and the fitter is really trying to push me into 20 all round due to my beige interior.
I'm sticking to my guns. 30%. I'd rather lighter than darker as I don't want the gangsta look. Fingers crossed. |

Looks great.
Wish we had the wagon here. Maybe someday. I had a 325iT for awhile and liked the feel of a sedan coupled with the practicality of the wagon.
