19 inch 351m m sport alloys

Hi folks

Im wondering if anyone can shed any light on question I have regarding the subject alloy.

My car came out the factory with these wheels but I was under the impression it was a staggered fitment:

Front: 8.5j et 33 with 245/40/19 tyre
Rear: 9.0j et 44 with 275/35/19 tyre

For some reason my car isnt fitted with staggered 351ms. I have the smaller front size all round? Is this correct?

Car details:

2011 520d F11 msport touring with auto box.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Tony

The F11 comes with 8.5x19 351M all around, while the F10 comes with the wider rears.

Thanks mate would have been good of my local BMW garage to have your knowledge!

They called me while the car was in for some work to tell me I had the wrong sized tyres on the rear. I called their service department back to confim F11 tourings dont have a staggered fitment and their reply was- you learn something new everyday!

I wonder how many f11s they've given health checks and fitted 275 tyres to on an 8.5j alloy.

in US, F10 can be ordered/equipped with 351M either all around (2NB) or staggered (2ND), and 275 is too wide to fit 8.5j, see below for your references

Rim width Maximum tire width
8,5 Inches 255 mm
9,0 Inches 265 mm
9,5 Inches 275 mm

I do agree with 255 on 8.5".

But 275 fit on 9" wheels and 285 on 9.5" and is still within the tire manufacturers recommendations.

I thought the xDrive F10 in the US got the square 19x8.5 all around, and the RWD got staggered setup.

That is correct for US spec F10's.

in US, F10, even with RWD, you could get square or staggered depending on the order code 2NB v.s. 2ND, why? coz my 2015 RWD build sheet shows 2NB and thus it comes with square set up

below post also shows the same:
