Should I trade in my 528xi

I bought my 2015 528xi CPO in 2018 with 31k miles in it. The previous owner has beaten the car up pretty bad I suppose. The car kept throwing one or the other issue every now and then. The dealership here in Latham, NY is pretty average.

A couple of days ago it was way too hot here. I turned my car on, put it on drive mode and hit the gas pedal. The car simply gave up and quit. I started it again and it came back up and drove fine. Last year something similar happened and I had to change the fuel injectors. which cost $2.8k

I am thinking of trading my car for an Acura RDX 2019 with low miles(10 - 20k). I test drove a RDX yesterday. I did not like it much. It was comfortable but noisy and not as much power. My wife drives a 2015 RDX and it is sturdy, quieter, powerful, heavier and very comfortable. Somehow Acura has traded all that for fancy features and useless add-ons. However, it is still low maintenance and lasts longer. I am confused. Any suggestions. Should I still keep my 528 or trade it in? I drive 55 miles a day

A used RDX that doesn't feel sturdy would mean its been abused to me. Keeping the 528xi and using a dependable private mechanic sounds like a better choice. Would consider leasing a new RDX if I were you perhaps.

Apples and oranges, mate. Why do you even have a BMW sedan?

My wife had a prior gen RDX, and we liked it. These had the ubiquitous Honda V6. We drove the new RDX...it has a 4 cyl, and the absolute worst infotainment system. Ended up with a loaded Pilot, and we like it...other than distracting head unit with no volume knob.

Anyway, if you're going to switch, look for a BMW with I6 N55 and good service records. Maybe a X3?

Just suck it up and repair the 528. You will way overpay for any used car in this market.
