Which engine oil?
Hi all.
I know BMW recommends Castrol Edge, and I am pretty certain that 0w 30 is the recommended grade. What I am not so sure about is which exact product I should get. I can find 'Castrol Edge Professional BMW 0w-30 LL-04' which says that replaces the SLX and has the Edge FST with 'Fluid Strength Technology'. Is this the one? Thanks! |

For the diesels you need a BMW LL-04 oil
So the one you posted looks good Petrol engines can still use the older LL-01

If your car requires LL-04 any brand meeting that standard is OK.I tend to go with major brands...Mobil,for example. In Europe Fuchs is also an option (it's what I use in my diesel).
