Does anyone know why the aftermarket painted fender trim says it doesn't fit vehicles equipped with the Driver Assistance Package (Parking Assistant Option).

I have the driver assistance package but I want to replace the chrome fender trim. Any ideas???

Perhaps its because the Parking Assist option includes a camera/sensor built into the fender trim while the after-market trim does not have the required cut-outs?

Maybe I could have mine painted, and they could just not paint the sensor?

I just tried this last night.

The corners of my california drivers license look like they were chewed on by rodents..

The little plastic snaps that connect the chrome piece to the lighting piece.. are so weak! two of mine broke off while trying to pry them out..

Otherwise, I just used black vinyl and wrapped it... anyone else try vinyl wrapping this piece? Maybe I'm just not handy, but I had to make two pieces and a seam, to accommodate for the indentations..

After reading all of your comments and experience, I think spray seems to be the easiest way to do it. Nice job.

Am I the only one who has not been able to remove the fender trim? It just seems so resilient! I even bought a scratchless trim removal tool and I still can't find it in me to push it in deep enough to pry it out. Any advice?

Looks so good! Where did you get body painted side markers on the front bumper and those on the side as well? Did you paint them yourself?
Need those! Thanks!

You also have the option of purchasing them from IND already painted to match the body color. They have them for both, LCI and pre-LCI 5 series.

I first tried the vinyl, using a lot of patience and a heat gun, but I am not 100% satisfied with my work. The concave shape is not easy. I also broke a few of the chrome clips which are extremely weak. I have purchased a new set and will have them painted. I wish I would have seen that painted LCI side markers are now available.
