Retrofitting an M6 steering wheel to a 2011 535i

Anyone know if the M6 steering wheel which fits the f10 M5 would also fit a 535i?

If so; can the paddles then be coded to work if I don't currently have paddles?

Thanks in advance!

Stick shift 2011 535i driver interested as well. Don't care about the paddles but would like a sportier wheel.

No problem on my F06. Everything works except for the M1/M2 buttons as expected. Looks really nice

Anyone try it on a F10 non-M5 such as 535i?

Biggest concern, the airbag is designed for a different cabin space. Is it possible this could be a device that wont properly protect you in the 5 series?

Sorry, already in storage and didn't take a picture beforehand

And yes, everything works, except for the M1/M2 buttons.

I am in a F06, and the new 2014 F10 M5 is getting the same steering wheel. So I am pretty sure it will be ok.

Check and see if the airbag has the same part numbers, if they do then your right. Just something to think about.

If one orders the same parts as the new M5, what issues could we run into? Different plugs? Coding? Surely, fitment wouldn't be an issue..

I had the standard SAT, and also the M Sport, and now the M6 steering wheel. The M Sport is the thickest and felt best for spirited driving. The M6 is by far the best looking. And they are all the same size......

With SAT, no coding needed.
