'11 550xi - Shudder under acceleration

Hey all-
So I just traded up from an 07 335i to an 11 550xi M Sport. So far - LOVE this beast!

I have noticed however - that under acceleration - particularly between 40 and 55mph - there is a noticeable shudder from the drivetrain. Dealership has straightened the two right side rims - checked the left - done a 4 wheel alignment - and its still there.

It doesn't feel like a wheel issue - more like its coming from the drivetrain as - it only happens when I'm in the gas - as soon as I let up - everything settles down until I press on the accelerator again.

Any thoughts - I'm at a loss and tired of taking it to the dealership only to be told "can't reproduce"....

thanks!

I have the same, fear it's the driveshaft being unbalanced. Not sure yet, but vibration seems a common problem.

So after 6 trips to 2 different dealers, 4 new rims and two new front tires - its still there. They've replaced the front right axle. It gets exponentially worse on long drives at freeway speeds. I drive from DC to DE fairly regularly and after about an hour at 65+ if I have to slow down for traffic or lights, then accelerate - the RPM's clearly vary as I'm accelerating.

I'm at a loss. I love the beast - but I'm not sure I can take it much longer. Anyone have any suggestions? Spark Plugs? Tranny? Torque converter? Anyone have a shop in the DC DMV that they trust I can stop by and chat with - I'm about over the stealerships.
