yes, i have heard of koni fsd (there's this authorised dealer in MK) and heard exactly what you said. As i understand, the AC springs are tailored for the stock shocks (so, shouldn't be much of a problem. Added to the fact that bmw is willing to carry this product and install it, that gives me sufficient comfort). Do go for what you think is best for your car as we all have different personal preferences.
they will install for u? so cool .. and also keep waranty .. then thats VERY good! .. labor is already the cost of the springs, its such a pain to install , if bmw will take care of it, thats +++
in that case i will have to reconsider and see what aftermkt components bmw offers, since they will install ..

btw,
a short report for everybody, driving around last night in light rain:
1.528 is underpowered, at least pre-break in, under 4k rpm... i imagine once u can max out the rpms, the length of each gear is increased up to 6.6k rpm, but u will have to drive it like a race car, a different kind of fun. but power remains the same
2.length of wheelbase prevents car from being driven like a 3,1,Z series
3.engine best suited for 3,1,Z series .. f10 still too heavy even with zero options, low tank, no passengers
4.225nero, 255contiDW very good in rain, in sport+ traction is lost very gradually, no scary times
5.MUST UPGRADE SUSPENSION! i could imagine how it would drive with lowered+bettershocks .. this will make a big difference. the steering,transmission/trottle is already pretty optimized, IMO. the suspension is the odd man out, must change!
6.i am jealous of 550i, 535i engines

I think you will be more satisfied when you can floor the gas paddle after break in. I don't feel the 528 under power when I test drove the car

grimlock,
I am glad I got the 550i. Not broken-in yet but I am going up Garden Road in 2K rpm and the car still accelerates to over 80Km/h in no time. It is scary.....

underpowered - relatively speaking ..

if they made a 4.4 NA that would be perfect

the 3.0 NA suits the 1 series perfectly ..

u will love the paddles shifting, im trying to use the stick to shift instead now, cant paddle and turn at the same time

Yes. The SLK 230 Kompressor is an amazing car. Had that as my first car in Hong Kong

i was shifting into the fast lane today, car slowed down to let me in, i change lane, step on gas - nothing! like hanging in air for a few seconds, then i realised i upshifted instead of downshift .. embarrassing

u will never have this problem

i got from tirer@ck ..sent over from US
i think they have DW in hk, not sure, if they have, they should have for 20 if your running normal size. i went 255/40 instead of 275/35 -19
275 should be enough for 400nm .. all the time or on hill ?
how will the 600nms manage on 275s

actually wheelspin property of the turbos .. max torque at 1200rpm already .. so effectively u r already at max power at idle, when car is at 0kph, so if u do not let the car 'roll' out first, u easily hit max power on any pedal application .. so tires spin

I was watching the Ryder cup on tv and noticed they were using the x5 to ferry players and thier equipment to and from the clubhouse. They should have used the 5gt instead. I'm sure you can carry 4 large pro bags!
