550i needs to be "linked" to do dyno?
Trying to get a dyno done on my f10 550i with the racingchip but the shop says the car might be required to be "linked" in order to do the dyno and wont do it untill i get clarification. Im guessing they are talking about the front and rear wheels to spin at the same time. Since mine is inly RWD, how do you guys do the dynos? Turn traction and stability control off and go for it?
Anything else i should know before i take it there? |

Mine was dyno'd just fine on a 2wd dyno, about 15 pulls to be exact.

The issue I faced was with the stock intakes installed there isn't much room to clamp onto the coil wire (at any coil) to be able to get RPM, and therefore a solid torque value.
It ultimately took my popping the zip tie, and sliding the wire sheath back so they had enough room to clamp on. I believe it's a brown wire with a black stripe, but that is from memory well over 1.5 years ago. My guys ran it without doing that, and only got RWHP. They ran it again for free after I figured out how to hook it up to get torque. They knew where they should connect to, but it really is a different looking setup, and I don't fault them for having some difficulty.
