I just dropped mine on H&R's on my F10 550i. The front drop was perfect, the rear is a little high for my taste but still has the nice rake.

How is the ride? Is the side sway reduced?

I have the h&r on my 535 m sport and it rides great. Some say it's too bouncey or soft but I didn't notice it because I have the m suspension and always drive it in sport+ mode. Maybe it's due to the m suspension. Either way, can't go wrong for $250 springs.

First off I have ARS, and I'll do a brief description on each mode.

Comfort: Feels a lot more like "normal" before the new springs. The ride is still smooth and I use this mode when the roads are uneven/bumpy.

Normal: A little more bumpier than comfort but no where near obnoxious. I find myself keeping it in this mode a lot more now as it's perfect for daily driving.

Sport: I used to keep it in this mode 100% of the time, but now I find myself only using it when I need to overtake someone or get somewhere quickly. On uneven roads the ride is obnoxious, pretty damn bumpy. However I am used to this as my last 3 cars were slammed with coilovers, but it's awesome that I don't have to be stuck with this one setting. On good roads this setting is totally fine; I live in CT with a bunch of potholes due to snow, so I'm sure if you live near flat roads that do not see snow you'll keep it on this setting all the time.

Hopefully this helps your decision!

The fact that you have ARS makes all the difference. Sounds like a really good setup, hopefully I can achieve something similiar without the ARS. Maybe I'll need a coilover kit to make up for the lack of ARS.

Keep me posted on what you decide!

I have a 2012 BMW 550i M-Sport and want to get rid of excess body roll. I did not order ARS since I overlooked it. My E60 550i M Sport Pkg handled MUCH better (and the seat bolsters were far better for lateral susport).

Ideally, I would add springs and sway bars (aftermarket, non-adjustable). So far I am planning to go with Dinan. Any reason why others are considering ACS and H&R, but not Dinan? So far I have not found any aftermarket sway bars.

I hate to lose my adjustable suspension by ripping out the factory-adjustable shocks.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Lowered w/ ACS Springs

Just had mine installed earlier this week. The car is now stiffer than stock but still a comfortable ride and the handling is not quite there yet like a e60 w/ M sport. I'd say now it rides like between a F10 w/ M sport and a e60 w/ M sport. Here are some before and after pics:

That looks like a must! Is the ride bouncy at all?

After the lowering it, does the suspension (maybe) light turns on on the dash?

I just reduced my own on H&R's on my F10 550i. The top part drop was perfect, the returning is a little excellent for my taste but still has the amazing " " rake "

Everyone seams to have 550 and 535 here.
Has anybody lowered 2013 528xi M Sport?
I want to improve the handling but I don't want to ruin the comfort, although a bit stiffer ride is fine with me. I was offered H&R springs for $700 with installation. Should I go with them as quite a few reviews are not good about H&R and what do you think about the price. Thanks.

I've had the H&R Springs for a couple of months now and they a good spring option. The lowering is lower than Eibach and ACS which I like, but that's personal preference. Technically, I personally think the H&R aren't low enough as it still leaves a visual gap between the fender and tire, but again...this a personal preference.

The ride is good, especially considering the amount of lowering. Handles better than stock and by no means is stiff. It can be a bit bouncy in comfort mode, but in sport or sport+ it's perfectly fine.

To put my viewpoint in perspective, I come from an E46 M3 with Clubsport coilovers, and feel that my F10 handles decently for the size of the cat. I also do drive my kids in the F10 with no complaints.

I will say that I am switching to KW V3 coilovers, but that's partly due to achieving my ideal ride height.
