New member saying hello
Hi,
I purchased an AUC 530d MSport on Saturday and I love it . Having come from an E90 325d non nav this is a big change in every way for me. It has the pro media which at the moment I'm not 100% sure on using all of the features but I'll get there. Spec is as follows: 2010 60 plate F10 35k miles Alpine White Sport Auto 'box 19" 351's Pro Nav/media Black Dakota, heated Drivers memory seat Fineline Anthracite Visibility Pack Sun protection glass Maybe some other bits that I don't know about/haven't figured out yet I'll get some pictures up tomorrow when I get chance to take some but for now here's the 'hi res' AUC website picture. Great! I've been a member on E90post for a while now and have noticed a few names that are now in F1x's and posting on here, I'm glad to have joined you It's my 3rd BMW having had the 325d then earlier this year I bought an M3 CS as a 'weekend toy' but sold it shortly after as I couldn't get on with it. I seem to be more at home in a diesel barge! A question for you though. Why does the radio stay on until the car has been locked? Can the settings for that be changed? Cheers Dave A couple of phone pics I took earlier. I've not had chance to get out with the DSLR yet and take some proper ones, the weather has been shite! You can 're-code' many parameters - including turning off radio when drivers door opened - check out 'F10 Cheatsheet' for all details.

Thanks for the comments/tips guys. Only just figured out today how to split the nav screen and get the album art on there. I'd like to think I knew if it had Bluetooth audio or not but I haven't got a clue. I'll stick to the Y lead and USB playback for now.

Hi and welcome over to the F10 boards! Nice car and lovely spec. If you want to check all your options put the last 7 digits of your VIN in here.
http://www.bmwarchiv.de/vin/ Not sure when the F10 got COMBOX but I expect it probably had it from launch. I'm sure someone will clarify. If so, as has been said already if you're using an IOS device you won't need the Y cable, just the Apple USB lead. Idrive will force ipod to startup but you can override this with Spotify if you start that up afterwards then you can control it from the device. This may also work for Dezeer but have not tried that myself. On Android devices idrive will want to use it as a mass storage device over USB, I don't think you can get around that? Obviously if you've got the bluetooth audio you can pretty much stream what you want.

Thanks for the info guys. I've just been out in it and tried to connect via Bluetooth again for audio streaming but can't seem to do it, I then come back and read these posts. Good timing!
One last thing just so I know: do I need to be connected via the apple lead to stream Bluetooth? I presume not but can't work it out from your posts. Cheers Dave |

Hi Dave
Nope you don't need to be connected via the apple cable.. However once you go into selecting audio sources you will see Bluetooth option.. You just need to ensure that you have selected audio streaming from there.. A little difficult to first figure out however if you want to PM your number I can call you tomorrow and talk you through it.. Regards Ahmed |

Thanks for the info. I have got it working now but it doesn't connect every time? Is this correct or am I still missing something? It connects automatically for the phone every time. Cheers Dave |
