Ignition off and power sockets be off too

Hi folks, on my 2011 June delivery, when I turn the ignition off and press it again to turn off radio and all, my kids dvd player connected to the power socket stays on for a while longer, can this be setup to switch off too? thanks for any suggestions.
FYI, I also tried holding the ignition button for a while thinking it may work differently as to when hit twice to switch the radio off.

It will shut off eventually. It is a small load anyway so no worries!

It goes off after a few minutes, comes on again when you unlock or open doors

A senior BMW tech told me even after you power off and lock the car it can take a further hour for the car to fully go to sleep......

On my one no more than 3 to 4 min and it's off, I double check this as I hate the thought of my car parked with movie playing for as long as an hour while locked.
