Noticed when useing connect drive for google it was total differnt checked other items some of them changed also seems to have done a auto update in car . Has anyone else noticed this change in US.

Yes, it is more logical, but still has problems.

The new google interface destroyed what was once a good thing.

First, I think the google interface as initially deployed was brilliant.

Second, the new system sucks. Why? Because the old system would sort results by distance and location. And it would clearly tell you how many miles or fraction thereof the distance for each entry. This is a necessary component to make sure you pick the right entry.

The revised design forgoes this clean listing in favor of a map with callout tags, a, b, c, and so on that refer to your entry. The stinking map takes forever to draw on BMWs annoyingly antiquated 56k data link. Second, you have to really take your eyes off the road to try to interpret the map.


This is one of those things where "just cuz u can draw a fancy map with callout tags" does not mean it is superior to the old way.
