Looking to protect the bumper and hood any recommendations?

I plan on driving in winter and want to protect the paint from small rocks and scratches. I got a quote for $2000 for hood, fenders, and bumper.

I was looking at pre cuts.

I suppose that would be an option, but it wouldn't be something I would recommend for a first time DIY project. Maybe get the pre-cuts and have someone local do the install? Also, you will want to make sure the paint below the clear bra is flawless, because any imperfections will show very clearly if you detail the rest of the car. It is similar to the paint sealant coatings like Opticoat, the car must be detailed and the paint perfect before application or any imperfections cannot be removed later.

Agree, it is not a simple DIY, and needs attention to details in order to get the job done right.

A few things to be aware of:

1st, the pre cut kits once applied, the amount of the uncovered areas are noticeable and it does not look as nice and a full piece wrap (i.e. the installer applies the entire piece of clear bra on the hood, bumper, etc, and then start cutting and trimming along the edges)

2nd, the car needs to be fully cleaned and clayed to remove all the wax and dirts

3rd, the F10 front bumper is "fun" to apply due the the curve especially the area between the headlight and the grill, and the lower portion of the bumper

4th, if you want to do it yourself, you may want to consider buying an extra set just in case you screw up the very 1st try.

I had all my cars done professionally; and for F10, $2000 quote you got is way too expensive regardless
