Navigation GPS Issue

Hi Guys,

Pretty new here...
My navigation tells me I'm in the middle of the ocean.. was working fine and suddenly a few days ago, this happens. I tried resetting the iDrive but didn't work. I did a search on a lot of fourms and I tried to find the gps antenna which is supposedly located around the driver side sunvisor area. Had to take the front centre dome light roof parts out and took the sunvisor off and looked inside the roof trim but couldn't find anything...
Am trying to unplug and replug the gps antenna as some people have said it might of gotten loose... but i cannot find where it's located on the F10 535i's..

Anyone have any idea where this might located?

Thanks

I think it's either the GPS antenna plug got loose somehow or a faulty GPS antenna as a lot of other forum members seem to have experienced.
I tried reinstalling the map software and that didnt work either...

I have a feeling its the GPS antenna plug connection somewhere...
Anyone know where the other side of the plug is located? The plug at the other end of the cable where it connects to the CIC unit inside the centre dash console... would it be straight to the fin antenna at the back roof of the car?
I heard there is some sort of a module which the cable plugs into in betrween the CIC unit and the fin antenna...anyone got any idea?

what about running the diags from th hidden menu?
seen a youtibe video somwhere with the sequence of commands you need to run
that should confirm if you have a signal or not (this what the dealer will no doubt do)

Tried this. GPS signal is blank...i think meaning there is no reception..
Maybe the GPS antenna issue...I think

well that's confirmed it, sounds like a loose cable, which is odd as all of that is buried away behind other things.
