Next Gen BMW 5-series spied again!

Spied in its usual black armor is the new 5-series. Here you can atleast tell the general dimensions, shape and roofline of the car. According to CARmagazine insiders this car will NOT be as radical as the current 5-series was and will be a more flowing car. I'm guessing the bodyline will be more inline with the BMWCS concept and be very pleasing to the eye. The overall proportions of the car do reveal very short overhangs for a very sporty look that is missing from the current competition from Audi and MB. The 5-series along with the 3-series have been traditionally BMWs jewels, and I'm sure the handling and performance (twin tubo v8

will be on yet another level. BMW is said to continue the use of lightweight materials in the latest 5-series to further improve dynamics of the car.

I think it's the next TL-S -- quads, those rims...it is due for redesign end of 08

Roofline shape look good, other then that its hard to see how it will look.

With the exception of the roof, every panel has another plastic panel bolted to it...including the front and rear....of course it doesnt look like a bimmer....thats the whole purpose!!!
take a close look at the last pic and you can see the shape of BMW kidney grills thru the mesh!

Good point Shiggy! There's other images of this camoflagued test vehicle where you can se the kidneys even clearer.

Radical? Thats not the first thing that comes to mind when I look at the 5 series. Hope the new one isnt totally boring!

u can see the huge kidney grilles behind the mesh if u look carefully. looks a little too big...

the car looks "fast". I remember an interview with Bangle where he said he wants bmw's to look like they are in motion when they are standing still.. This car is going to be nice
