Safe Jack - Renn Stands
I spent the bulk of the day under my wife's 550i and used Safe Jacks Renn stands. A little pricey maybe but incredibly light weight and easy to work with. I used the front and rear jack points to place the stands but what I found most refreshing was the extra space around the stands and to be able to access the car very easy from front, rear and center, Then when you are done they break down so compactly and neatly. You will want a decent floor jack that has at least a 3" cradle for the Renn Stands if you decide to jack the car using the stands. Ya may need to drive the car up on some boards under the tires in order to get the frame clearance for jack and stands. They were very sturdy and didnt shift around once despite my efforts.

I need some jackstands and will definitely be buying these in the future. Seem super easy & straightforward. Does look like they're in production and not available for a few weeks still:
