Just me or does anyone else despise the hood line being above the front emblem? When the hoodline connects to the kidneys (like in current 3 and 5 series) it makes the whole front of the car look edgier and sportier.

Placing the hoodline above the emblem makes the front look fat and rounded... Hope the new 5'er maintains the sportier look and does *not* inherit the hoodline of the new 7.... bleh

This PS applies some of the styling cues from the likes of the new Merc C-series.
Looks like the cars stoned...

I hate those eyelids on the new Bimmers.

This is as ugly as an x3!! The headlights look alike!

Rendering from AMS and PS chop based on leaked bumper + PAS GT5 inspired headlights cluster by Valencia. The F10 5er front end looked better than PAS GT5 IMO, the overall kidney grills/headlights are more proportional.

F10 5-Series Sedan/Wagon Renderings

Post these in another thread in this forum.

The first two chops from Car Magazine. The emblem should be on front bumper. The grill is a bit wider not as tall as 7er, and the rear lights are very closed to the real deal according to Scott.

Third chop from Valencia.

Thumbs down

I was thinking about purchasing a new 5 series after the redesign. I can say though that if the front grill work remains boxy and vertical to that degree, with no sleekness to it, I will stay with the M3. Is it just me or does it seem like BMW is getting things "half right" these days. I love some of the interior refinements and new headlights/taillights etc..the new iDrive is a big plus...but these fugly grills are a deal killer for me. That new 5 series PAS or whatever it's called is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen, and I LOVE BMW's. If the grill looks this bad on the production version I will consider the new refreshed M3 coming soon or a CPO 550...will have to pass on the new kidneys from hell look. My 2 cents.

just pray they don't put those grilles on the new 3 series.

i'm not a huge fan of those grilles either. but the rear angle of the touring looks nice. i wish they would sell those here in the US.
