Unhappy Can't get to position 2 on Ignition DME,EKPS,DKG,LMV not responding

I am way out of the depths here. But I hope you guys can help me solve this issue.

Car was running normal, AT ran smooth, never an issue, I heard a weird intermitent clattering noise while idle.
I stopped my car to check under the car and then it wouldn't start up again...
- Transmission malfunction & parking brake limited notice on dash with 4X4 symbol
- Can't get out of parking (I know I can if i go underneath the car if i have to)
- Lights on dash flicker when i press push-start (won't stays in Position 2)
- won't stay into position 2 even with brakes off (Ista didn't like that, kept losing connection)
- No crank, No start

- Voltage was 11.6v at battery, T30, T15 and inside engine bay cleaned ground wire on the leftside of engine bay.
- Checked fuses for power and continuity
- checked power at battery distribution fuses
- ordered a Oscilloscope but not sure how to use it yet. Learning how to read wiring diagrams as I go

Trying to learn as much as possible from a BMW F01 Workbook on modules.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Other more seasoned folks like chime in but culprit #1 is your battery. 11.6v is dead. Modern cars do funky things when batteries get too low.

Have you tried charging the battery? It may be time to replace it too.

Yes, It was my own doing letting the battery get that low.
But i charged it overnight till its stable at 12.6v and passed a volt drop test.

I really need to get these modules to communicate, atleast then i can try flashing them.

I believe my primary fault is something to do with the Gear selector switch. GWS to EGS/DME. But what do I know xD

This is why I think its due with the GWS. Test plan is prioritizing it.
Is it possible to maybe run a service function to override my car to put it into Position 2, just to run the ABL?

SOLVED! I think... Only drove it for 15 kms so far

But it turns out it was the ground strap that is near the transmission.
Even though once i used a multimetre and tested the voltage and continuity and passed that test.

I guess it wasnt a great connection. $80 CAD at the dealership for this wire but worth the pain of finding out it didnt work.
