According to Eni from GCZ, the rear view from the above rendering is 99% match except some detail of rear light cluster and surface.

i was just gonna make a comment about that... it's the side view camera system that the new 7 came with. it's fantastic! i drove a 750Li with it and it's very good. nice to see it on the 5.

FINALLY!!

Anyone notice how the front is much flatter on the new BMWs compared to the old ones?? It started with the X1, is now on the F01, and seems to be consistent now with the rest of the upcoming line.

Overall I really love the headlights.

It is due to new pedestrian safety laws in the EU. Apparently they have a problem with cars hitting people.

Wow that looks amazing, from what we can see anyway. I really hope the taillights don't look like the rendering though; looks pretty ugly to me. Though I don't think it'll be that way since they don't have the front exactly right either, and that has been somewhat visible in spyshots for the past few weeks.

Edit: One quick observation; wasn't there supposed to be no flame surfacing? I see it on one of the profile shots. Or is that just reflections?

Observation 2: The photograph that showed up early last week was actually correct! In this thread: http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=320921
