Wow. It really looks like the logical step up from an E39. I'm so glad they lost most of the E60-ness. Now if they got rid of the horrendously uncomfortable seats that were standard in the E60 it will be a home run.

the rear looks really good. the profile lines are great except the front nose.. that front bumper... ugh.. i really dont care for the large grills with the pushed out nose and i hope the F30 doesn't go this route.

Those tail lights remind me of the E90 LCI's with the 5 series stripey look.

The M5 will also have a TTV8, but a much more powerful one. Just like how the X6 xDrive50i has a TTV8, and so does the X6 ///M.

I'm not a big fan of any 5, but everytime the M sports package comes in, it never fails to impress me. Can't wait for the M version.....and like always, it's for sure a MONSTER!

I kept thinking the same exact thing! It looks like an LCI e90 M3 thats been stretched a bit. I really like the look. Love the tiny front overhang, and sharper raked windshield. This for some reason also reminds me of how I felt of the 740i sports from the late 90s. Beautifully proportioned.
Can't wait to see it in person...
I might have to choose between this or an m3 for my next car...

the headlight makes it look like bigger 3 series

whereas e60 has a unique headlight design.
I know some people will disagree with me, but check out
the video which has e90 and new 5 series and then
you will get my point.

It's like a receding hairline. The 5 series is just getting older. It will be mid-hood next generation and then gone all together a few years after that.
