F10 in the studio....

The F10 has certainly been making the rounds through the automotive press and AutoExpress was smart enough to take the car into the studio and get these awesome shots of the car in its more pure form. Take a peek!

Two things bother me of this new 5-Series styling... the downward curve of the upper side of the headlights (the turning signal) and the reverse center console in the interior, which favors the passenger and not the driver.

Two styling changes from the norm that look to me like afterthoughts... other than that it is a nice car, not great.

A thousand times better than the current 5er. Looks like it was inspired by the lines of the e92. A coupe-like styling for a sedan. I like it.

You mean the arm rest FOR THE DRIVER?

If memory serves me right, that's how the arm rest is positioned in the current generation as well.

The top of the rear bumper around the lights and the center looks like it's sticking out too much.

I have the exact same thought about the center console! Why did BMW ever angle and partition the console to favour the passenger???

Otherwise i think I love the new direction they are building the interiors. The car otherwise looks amazing.

I second every word said about the center console, it looks so odd as if the image were flipped! Technic is absolutely right about this particular observation.

What does it have to do with the rear bumper?

Anyway, the F10 looks good IMO.

I don't mind the console like this. I usually rest my right arm on the console while I'm driving and I prefer more padding there than hard surface. If you swap the location of those items then the shifter is too far to the right...

Here's one of the center console with the steering wheel on the left. Looks fine to me when seeing it like this...

favour the passenger?
i think this was designed based on ergonomics...more of the padded console under your forearm while your hand is on the gear shift...makes sense to me!
