not many standard features. I'm still trying to wonder why auto makers cannot/will not make xenon standard on these types of cars.

Did anyone notice that the picture of the Night Vision camera lens on page 19 is not of the new 5-series, or any other current BMW for that matter? From the split kidneys, the gap between them just like classic BMWs of the 1970s and 1980s, and the deep character lines extending from them, it looks very aggressive. Could this be a future product / the new 3-series or 6-series?

Good to know the rear light cluster, steering wheel and exterior mirrors are standard. BMW is officially the new Porsche when it comes to options. I have a feeling the 550i is going to be a very expensive piece when loaded up ($85,000?)

Xenons, USB, Heated Seats, Leather, Moonroof and Navigation should all be standard at this price point. Period. I wonder if BMW will ever understand that!

Couple things I noticed.
1) New Park Assistant
2) No Manual Transmission for the 550i...BOO!
3) No optional Ceramic controls.
4) 550i has unique kidney grilles with chrome slats and Illuminated door sills.

Nice but I think this is for UK or Australia or somewhere in Europe. I just got off the phone with my rep here in Canada and the 550 is coming in 6 speed.

OMG
Look at all those new options.
All those items are very nice but would stack some serious money.

Yeah, you might be on the money here. This looks like the typical UK & Aus broucher. However, afaik we would (should) get automatic as standard on all our models, as for 6 speed manual would probably be a nco special order.

But god damn, this is option-galores. Paying this much money for a car and you would think little things such as Xenon lights, PDC (Front and Rear), exterior & interior with automatic anti-glare function and folding mirrors are standard...

I don't think this is specific U.K. - more international English speaking because the U.K cars will have front and rear PDC, bluetooth, and leather as standard - and that's not shown on the brochure.

It does look different but I believe that it is actually just the shadows playing tricks on you. You can tell by the lines on the hood that it is indeed the new F10.

Ok, it's official. I _really_ want one of these cars now. I am a hopeless option junkie.

I'm curious to see as to what the US spec's for this car is. Especially for the 550i!

I would take another look at that. All BMWs eventually will have that hood. Check the black space between the kidneys and to the right of the right kidney. There is also a very deep crease into the top right corner of the right kidney. Both of these are shown in the Vision EfficientDynamics Concept:

http://image.europeancarweb.com/f/25...cept+front.jpg

Finally, count the number of slats in the grille. It has 10 while the F10 has 12.

Hmm...so many non-standard options.

Anyway, can someone explain to me what "Mixed" run flat tires mean? Mixed meaning two run flat and two non run flat?

Ima push for my mom to sell her '07 Audi A6 3.2 S-Line for a F10... Do you think the 523i has enough power for the average slow driver? Or should she go for the 528i?

There will not be a 523i in the US.
