Hey, i didn't realized the lights until i saw your pics above. Maybe they're trying out with more efficient fluorescent lights....did you also notice the Zakim bridge no longer has the nice purple neon lights?

Thanks...you definitely need a tripod for long exposure shots.

Awesome shots!

Just a quick question, how long are you guys finding you are exposing for? and are you setting your F/ pretty high as well as keeping the iso at 100?

Also, what are you doing for white balance? I find that sometimes the street lights turn the pictures too yellow,

Maybe one day, I'll actually use my tripod.

Took this from the observation deck of the Sears Tower (yeah, I called it that). Between the wind swaying the top of the building and the dirt on the windows, I can't say I turned out happy with the results. I was quite frustrated with not getting decently sharp pix w/ my 16-35. Things were better once I was on the ground. Merged 3 exposures to salvage this one:

Ah to be on terra firma again...

I was driving up SW Admiral Way on Saturday, and happened to notice that small viewpoint with a nice shot of downtown. We should set up an sunset/blue hour/night shoot for that area sometime.

Also, the tulips are really beginning to bloom up north. Might be a perfect time for a spirited drive on Chuckanut Drive with a stop for some pics of the flowers....

yeah that's a good place. i have a couple other areas that i think would interest you too. but yeah, let me know... it'd be cool to meet up for some photoshoots.
