Lightbulb Photos: first official F10 5-series accessories

The first photos of F10 5-series official BMW accessories have now been released. These are of course not the only accessories that will be available for the F10 5-series sedan, and more will be revealed in due course. Seen here are blackout grill, clear tailights, car cover, rear CF spoiler, and chrome mirrors. Source: BMW.de

I love the White-Line rear lights. Would look awsome on M3. Hope they make Black-Line for the next 3 Series.

The E90 couldn't legally have clear taillights because there aren't separate red reflectors. The current and upcoming 5 series does, lower down in the bumper, so there aren't any legality issues with them.

You could make it legal if you stuck red reflectors on the car, so BMW could make clear taillights legal for the E90 is stick on red reflectors were in the box. This is how Hella packages their clear taillights.

Now before someone starts saying that they flash red so they are legal, I would ask you to reference your MVA or DOT regulations and you will find that all cars must have rear facing red reflectors, as well as side facing rear red reflectors and side facing front amber reflectors.

I don't make the rules...

what the fuck !?! Chrome mirrors = fail, Chrome lights = HUGE fail. The only thing I like is the blacked out grilles and perhaps CF spoiler.

I'm pretty sure the rules only apply to parts from the factory, so you could put those lights on your car and no one would say anything to you. It's just that BMW wouldn't be the one to sell them to you. Out of all the people who paint over their reflectors, do you think any of them has had trouble with the law? I haven't heard of such a thing.

The tail lights remind me of the aftermarket cheap lights they have on eBay. But I dont know why I like the rear taillights so much. Fuck thats nice!
