Window Problem

Great. Put driver side window down and now nothing happens when I try to close it. No noises of any kind. Only driver side window...all others work normally..window is all the way down and will not do anything and it is going to rain. It is Sunday and no dealers open. Any ideas.

Did you try the comfort close from the key?
I think the F10 is similar to the E39 in that if you hold the lock button it will try and close all the windows.
Maybe open one of the other windows a little so you know it works when you try and close from the key.
Could be that the drivers window switch is faulty.

Doesn't the F10 have fancy diagnostics?
What does it say when you go into Vehicle status from the idrive?

problem solved....was bad window motor. Dealer replaced it, now ok.

window up via "lock" key on the key fob is a EU feature only, at least it was for the e60...not sure about the e39 and f10...

windows down via key fob "unlock" key works for both markets...

glad you got it sorted, hope a bad window motor is an isolated incident....
