Now please BMW, offer the 5GT with the 535d engine and we will be golden. A big car like this will be perfect with that torquey engine and much lower fuel consumption then the twin-turbo V8 they have in her now.

The 30d is 245hp, the 35d is 286hp (down-tuned to 268 in US if I'm not mistaken), and 40d is 306hp. The torque numbers vary as well, with similar variances. It's very likely (in fact, almost certain) that the underlying engine in the three is the same, but tuned (both mechanically and by software) differently. The only engine certified for US/Canada is 35d (down-tuned). |
