I ordered it a little over two weks ago, and the phone message has been saying: "Scheduled for production with no firm production date", and just today it switched to say that it was "in production expected completion October 6" or something close to that wording. I'm assuming that means nothing has actually been done yet, but they should be building it next week. It's just sort of exciting to hear something actually happening with it. I was beginning to be afraid that they'd end up telling me: "We're sorry, but we won't be making yours until sometime next year." |

Need a little help. So I originally posted in here and explained that my vehicle left Bremerhaven sometime around 9/20. It is westcoast bound and the dealer said it's going to Port Hueneme. Originally, someone told me it was on the Orion Diamond, and I looked up the port schedule for NYK Line and it doesn't stop in Port Hueneme, only San Diego. I think it should be on Wallenius Wilhelmsen, but I can't seem to find it. If anyone has some good advice, lemme know.

lux.sh, funny enough, I have shipped my previous car a few times, and I actually went and asked FedEx and UPS how much it would cost to ship my car. I gave them the dimensions and weight, they figured it'd cost about $2,000 to ship from US coast to coast. Haha, gives you a little idea of how much transatlantic would be.

UPDATE: Finally car arrived at the dealership.
It took exactly about a week from, boat docking at the port -> VPC -> Dealership. Might take few more days for those who are farther away from the VPC. For me, it was just one state away. California to Oregon is really close. Picking up in few days when all the paperwork and clean up is done.

Thanks chrissal1.
I would say anywhere between 5~10miles. If it has more than 10 miles, I am going to ask them why. Honestly, maximum I'll allow is probably 20miles. After that, oh no. I don't think so.

Is anyone else getting just a little bit turned on by the voice on the phone message?
Or is that just me? |

Bull crap!! They don't have a clue. I knew my car was at the port and unloaded. But the dealer said it was still on the boat out in the Atlantic. Then today ED center said the car has been released to the trucking company and would be at my dealer in 5 days. Dealer said that it would be in today. It wasn't. As something as big as a car you would think they would have a better way of knowing where it is. |

Hello all. The production of my 330xi was complete on October 21 and the nice lady on the 800 line says it is waiting to be released to the carrier. Does anyone know if this means the train to Bremerhaven or the ship to South Carolina? The OC is still way behind and says scheduled for production. Any help would be appreciated.

I went through this last week. Released to the carrier means getting to the port by train and the next step should be waiting for the "shipping vessel". My car finished production on a wednesday and was at the port by friday. Yours should be there by now, sometimes the system is behind.

The not so nice lady at this point is still telling me that production is complete and waiting to be released to the carrier. I hope my chances for a ship to South Carolina this week are not out the window. Wonder what the hang up is or if the system is just slow. Too much anticipation here I guess. Thanks for understanding!
