preparation center for hawaii

does anyone know where the preparation center for a 5-series headed for hawaii is located? is it the one in (near) oxnard, california? i have a 535i now enroute to the preparation center from germany and am curious as to how it gets from there to here. i have been following progress on the bmw website but the site does not seem to be real time.

Prep center for Hawaii is Port Hueneme in California (near LA). Car was shipped from there to Hawaii and total time between date car was ordered to date of delivery in Hawaii was about 3 months. It took a couple of weeks between arrival in California to delivery in Hawaii. Car came in good condition despite travel on the high seas after prep center.

That's a nice 535. I am growing fond of the F10 platform. May I ask why you chose silver? How has the car been since taking ownership? Any plans on mods?

Sorry about the delay in responding--I go to the main F10 forum regularly and visit this Hawaii forum infrequently. I love my car and have no regrets about it. I especially like the way it drives and handles (sports package and active steering). I chose titanium silver in order to avoid the problems I have had with my previous dark-colored cars--dust, water spots being the main ones. I saw several different light colors at my BMW dealer and chose titanium silver over space gray because I thought the latter would still be too dark, although I really liked that color. Titanium silver looks especially nice in bright sun, appearing almost silver white. I don't plan to get mods since I like the way it already looks.

sorry for the late response--i don't get to the hawaii forum much since it is rather inactive. car was at the california prep center a couple of weeks.
